This guide explains how to diagnose and fix Virtualizor license synchronization problems.
Common causes include:
- DNS resolution issues
- Network connectivity problems
- Firewall restrictions
- Outdated license information
Troubleshooting License Sync
Step 1: Verify Domain Resolution
First, check whether your server can resolve the Virtualizor licensing server.
Run:
ping virtualizor.com
Expected Result
The domain virtualizor.com should resolve to an IP address.
Note: A successful ping reply is not required. Only DNS resolution is important.
Step 2: Fix DNS Resolution (If Required)
If the domain does not resolve to an IP address, add Google’s public DNS server.
Run:
echo "nameserver 8.8.8.8" >> /etc/resolv.conf
After updating the DNS configuration, test again:
ping virtualizor.com
Step 3: Refresh the License
After confirming DNS is working:
- Log in to your Virtualizor Admin Panel.
- Navigate to:
Configuration → License Info
- Click Refresh License Info.
This forces Virtualizor to contact the licensing server and synchronize the latest license information.
Step 4: Refresh Your Browser
After refreshing the license:
- Press
Ctrl + F5
This performs a hard refresh and clears the browser cache.
Step 5: Verify the License Status
Return to the License Info page and verify that:
- License Status is Active
- License Expiry is displayed correctly
- License synchronization completed successfully
